Brenda Barron is a distinguished leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist with over 25 years of experience in the staffing and workforce solutions industry. Known for her passion for people, operational excellence, and community engagement, Brenda has built an impactful career that balances business growth with meaningful contributions to the community.
Brenda’s staffing journey began in 1999 in Jackson, Mississippi, when she launched a staffing branch with no clients, no revenue, and an empty office. Armed with an entrepreneurial mindset and a relentless work ethic, she grew the branch into a multimillion-dollar success, focusing on light industrial and office clerical sectors. Her ability to foster lasting relationships with clients and candidates helped her quickly scale the business, cementing her as a standout leader in the region.
Her success led to a promotion to Regional Manager, which took her to Atlanta, Georgia. There, she managed multiple branches and operations, navigating the complexities of corporate mergers and a changing staffing landscape. Brenda’s strategic vision and people-first approach caught the attention of industry leaders, leading her to pivot to a national driver staffing organization. In this role, she spent five years leading business development and service delivery efforts, building a reputation for being a hands-on, results-oriented executive.
After her tenure in national staffing, Brenda joined a major national firm as Vice President of Human Resources, Recruiting and Compliance, where she specialized in managing outsourced services for leading e-commerce companies. Her work in this niche sector combined operational efficiency with specialized talent strategies, and she quickly became a trusted partner to large corporations. In 2017, Brenda made the decision to return to her Mississippi roots, while continuing to work in an executive capacity remotely.
In 2019, Brenda’s path intersected with an exciting new opportunity. She was approached by the owner of Professional Staffing Group (PSG), an independent staffing firm with a strong commitment to providing personalized, high-quality services using advanced recruitment technologies. Brenda saw the potential for growth and transformation, and by June of 2019, she acquired the company and became its President and Owner.
Under Brenda’s leadership, PSG has grown significantly, with an expanded focus on both professional services and light industrial sectors. Brenda’s leadership style emphasizes business development, employee training, and career growth, while fostering a supportive and collaborative culture within the company. Through her guidance, PSG has continued to deliver exceptional staffing solutions to clients across diverse industries, enhancing its reputation as a trusted partner in talent acquisition.
Beyond her professional achievements, Brenda is deeply committed to giving back to her community.
