President-Owner
Location: Jackson, MS
Brenda began her staffing career in 1999 in Jackson, MS. She began with an empty office and zero revenue, but quickly grew her branch, earning millions in revenue by focusing on the light industrial and office clerical sectors. After transitioning into the role of Regional Manager, Brenda relocated to Atlanta, GA, before the company was sold.
After relocating to Atlanta her employer sold, and mergers of multiple entities took place, leading her to leave the company to pursue a career with a major driver staffing organization, where she managed and directed business development and delivery for five years.
More recently, as the Vice President of a national firm, Brenda used her many talents and vast experience to provide the delivery of service and talent to a more niche industry, specializing in the management of outsourced services to major e-commerce corporations. Brenda relocated back to Mississippi in 2017 while continuing to work in her current role.
Shortly thereafter, the owner of Professional Staffing Group (PSG) contacted her about a role she couldn’t refuse, an offer to be an integral part of an independently-owned staffing firm focused on professional-level services using large firm recruiting technologies to meet the needs for select industrial sectors.
BRENDA’S ROLE
There is nothing like a small business to represent the opportunity for its management to wear multiple hats in one working day. That one person can function in leadership, business development, sales coaching, recruiting and social worker roles! It takes a remarkable and strong person to be able to function in so many roles at one time; and, on rare occasion, that special person comes along, crosses a path and responds to a post. Someone who just happens to be at the right place at the right time in their life to say “YES” to an entirely new adventure.
Professional Staffing Group welcomed that someone, Brenda Barron, into the PSG business family in March of 2019. In June of 2019 Brenda acquired Professional Staffing and became the owner and president. As President and owner, Brenda is indeed cut out for her new career. She primarily focuses on business development in both professional services and light industrial sectors. She also manages the training and career development of PSG recruiters and provides support to the entire staff to increase the company’s capacity to provide exceptional service to more clients and candidates.
While Brenda is not one to stay still very long, her career is not her only focus. Having just built a home on 8 acres of Mississippi land, she is starting to grow roots. She loves decorating projects, growing flowers in her garden and spending time with her 3 grandchildren and family on her spacious back porch complete with a dream outdoor kitchen.
