Certified Medical Coder

A local outpatient surgery center has an immediate opening for an experienced Surgical Coder.

While a certified coder is preferred, the clinic is willing to pay for the right candidate to sit for the CPC exam. See below for list of acceptable coding certifications.

This position requires a detail oriented person who is willing to take responsibility for the importance their job has to the entire clinic. You will work in the Billing Department.

Your previous experience with coding and billing is also crucial, as you must have real world knowledge to know what to look for before the billing is sent. Responsibilities include checking entered charges, editing them as needed, and investigating the charges if they are wrong.

Acceptable Coding Certifications: If you are already certified, your existing certification must be from one of the following certifying agencies:

•AAPC (CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P)
• NHA (CBCS)

The preferred candidate understands the particular needs of a Medi-Spa client. Having previous experience in a Dermatology clinic or a Medi-Spa setting is ideal.

The position offers regular day time hours (Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) in an area convenient to Jackson and the surrounding suburbs.
