HOT JOB OF THE WEEK: QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Quality Control Technician 

 

Job Description: 
    • Inspect and verify accuracy of completed outgoing customer orders
    • Includes reporting errors found and assuring correction prior to shipment to customer
    • Upon request, participate in incoming part inspection to verify if parts meet customer specifications

Functions:

    • Order Checking – Verify that outgoing shipments comply with customer shipment instructions and order information (example: correct part quantity, part label, label placement, special markings, pallet content, and shipment content)
    • Training – Assisting in training new associates
    • Reports – Accurately summarize shipment observations in a report format
    • Communication – Communicate findings to leadership
    • Leadership – Assure that the quality order checking process is completed prior to the required shipment window

REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma or GED, along with
    • 6 months or more of experience in an automotive or related environment
    • Ability to apply concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication to practical situations
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal customers
    • Must be detail oriented
    • Ability to work well within teams
    • Ability to focus actions to accomplish established tasks
    • Ability to read and interpret general business documents
    • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
    • Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
