Professional Staffing Group will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23-24, 2017 in observation of the Thanksgiving Holiday!
We will re-open on Monday, November 27th at 8:00 A.M.
Here are the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions about recording your time:
Q: Do I need to report to my current assignment on November 23?
A: It depends!
- If your company is CLOSED on November 23, you DO NOT need to report to your assignment.
- If your company is OPEN on November 23, you DO need to report to your assignment as usual.
Ask your assignment manager if the company where you are working will be open or closed on November 23.
Q: Will I get paid if the business where I am working is closed November 23?
A. No, unless your assignment manager informs you that the company will pay for the holiday time off OR you are eligible for PSG holiday pay.
If your company is closed for business on Thanksgiving day, you will not be paid for the holiday unless the company agrees to pay for the holiday time off OR unless you are eligible for PSG holiday pay. If you do not meet these criteria, do not enter any hours on your time sheet for these dates.
- If your assignment manager informs the staff that the company where you are working will pay for this day, enter 8.00 hours on your time sheet AND add a note on the time sheet that reads, “Holiday approved by client.”
- The PSG Human Resources department will notify you in advance if you are eligible for PSG holiday pay. If you have been notified that you are eligible, enter 8.00 hours in the Holiday Hours line on your time sheet. Only associates who qualify for PSG holiday pay will see the Holiday Hours line on their time sheet.
OVERTIME NOTE: Holiday hours DO NOT count as hours worked toward the total of 40.0 hours needed before overtime can be entered or paid.
Q: Will I get paid a different rate if I work on a holiday?
A: No, all hours worked on a holiday are to be paid at your regular rate.
Contact the PSG Human Resources Department with any questions before submitting your time sheet for approval at the end of the week.
